Adventure motorcycling demands gear that can handle anything. The GIVI 80.1 Carbon motorcycle helmet is built for demanding motorcycle riders who want to be prepared for every situation. This dual sport full-face motorcycle helmet combines the rugged style of an enduro helmet with the protection of premium road motorcycle helmets.
What immediately stands out is this motorcycle helmet’s carbon construction. Carbon is not only lighter than traditional materials, but also offers superior strength and impact absorption. Weighing in at around 1,450 grams, you’ll feel the difference; especially during long (and adventurous) rides where every gram matters. The lightweight construction reduces neck strain and boosts overall comfort.
GIVI uses two different motorcycle helmet shells to accommodate all motorcycle helmet sizes, ensuring an optimal fit without excess bulk. This contributes to improved aerodynamics and overall wearability. The carbon fibre is both functional and visually striking, giving the GIVI 80.1 Carbon motorcycle helmet a premium look that complements high-end adventure bikes. In plain terms: it looks sharp.
The ventilation system is specifically engineered for the tough conditions this type of dual-sport motorcycle helmet is meant for. Multiple-position air intakes on the top shell and chin section provide a steady supply of fresh air, while rear exhaust vents expel warm, moist air. Whether crawling through city traffic or blasting down the motorway, this system is effective; even on hot summer days.
The clear visor is scratch-resistant and comes prepped for Pinlock Max Vision technology. The right lens is included in the box. This anti-fog system ensures crystal-clear visibility in all weather, from frosty mornings to drizzly afternoons. In the closed position, the clear visor locks automatically, and a central button makes opening it quick and easy.
The integrated dark sun visor offers instant protection from harsh sunlight without needing to pull over and reach for sunglasses. The slider is located conveniently on the lower left-hand side.
Practical features really make a difference in daily use. The micrometric ratchet closure system ensures a secure, adjustable fit that’s easy to operate even with motorcycle gloves on. The removable and washable interior lining keeps your motorcycle helmet fresh and hygienic which is always a big plus in warm weather or dusty off-road conditions.
Removable cheek pads are another smart feature. They allow for flexible use, simplify cleaning, and can even be removed by emergency personnel. The breath deflector and chin curtain are also removable, allowing you to tailor the helmet to your specific riding conditions.
This ECE 22.06-certified motorcycle helmet meets the latest European safety standards. GIVI deliberately designed it to appeal to both hardcore adventure riders and everyday commuters. Whether you're exploring gravel trails in the Alps or commuting to work, the 80.1 Carbon delivers the performance and versatility modern adventure riding demands.
The combination of carbon fibre, low weight and excellent ventilation makes this motorcycle helmet a solid investment in both comfort and protection.
The GIVI 80.1 Carbon has everything a premium adventure motorcycle helmet should offer.
No kit of reflective stickers is included in the box. The application of these stickers is mandatory in France. Reflective helmet stickers can be found here.
Some maintenance tips: The helmet interior can also be cleaned without removing it, with S100 interior cleaner. The exterior of the helmet is best cleaned with S100 helmet and visor cleaner. New visors have received a water-repellent treatment. This treatment is less effective after some time. Restore the water-repellent effect with Rain-X water-repellent spray. Safety above all!
Never ride with a scratched or dull visor. Especially at night, scratches cause blinding reflections from street lights and oncoming headlights. This effect is even more pronounced in rainy weather. It is best to replace a worn visor as soon as possible. Planning a long trip? Then don't forget to take a replacement visor with you. Never ride in the dark with a tinted visor.
