The Gianni Falco Lennox 3 is a pair of motorcycle shoes that look like streetwear sneakers but meet the requirements of CE‑certified motorcycle footwear. The nod to classic basketball trainers is still there, yet beneath the casual styling there is more protection than you might expect at first glance. That makes the Lennox 3 a good choice for motorcycle riders who prefer their motorcycle gear to be low‑key.
The full‑grain leather has been oil‑treated to keep the material supple and add a degree of protection against (light) weather conditions. A thick leather‑look sole forms the visual base of these motorcycle shoes and gives them their robust character. Gianni Falco opts for an ‘Air‑Tech’ ventilated liner on the inside, which makes the Lennox 3 a motorcycle shoe best suited to warmer conditions. It is not waterproof, but splashes or a short shower should normally be manageable.
Protection is centred on the D3O ankle cups that shield one of your most vulnerable joints. Heel and toe are not backed by separate hard panels, but the overall construction makes the Lennox 3 much more solid than an ordinary sneaker. The rubber sole provides grip and underlines the sporty feel of the shoe.
You get in and out either via the long laces or, more quickly, via the zip on the inside of the shoe. After closing, you tuck the zip pull behind a small Velcro tab so it cannot scratch your motorcycle. Once parked, you can simply carry on walking: the Lennox 3 does not draw attention as a dedicated motorcycle shoe, so you can walk into just about any setting without standing out.
With the Lennox 3, Gianni Falco takes a clear step forward. Production has moved to Italy (‘Made in Italy’), accompanied by a series of internal upgrades. Quality and finish benefit directly. The result is a motorcycle shoe that combines real protection with a relaxed look at an attractive price. Worn with a good pair of motorcycle jeans and a casual leather motorcycle jacket, the overall look makes perfect sense.
The higher the fashion level - and the level of ‘we don’t really look like motorcycle shoes’ -, the smaller the chance your leather shoes have a full-fledged shifting reinforcement. No problem on a scooter but on a motorbike, the multitude of shifting will quickly cause wear and tear. A shame of the leather shoes because this “wear and tear” will not often be incorporated in the warranty conditions.
You’d better take precautions, give yourself a hand or a foot in this case and add an extra layer to your leather motorcycle shoe or your gear lever. There are a number of options available in our range.
