A new flip-up helmet from the Givi
range. Safety and comfort are to be expected here and you get just about all the
options at a very competitive price.
There are two
helmet thermoplastic shells that accommodates all helmet sizes. A
closable
top ventilation and a closable
chin ventilation guarantee sufficient air circulation. Both vents can be opened
or closed easily even with gloves on. In the middle of the back there is a
double wind outlet. The total weight of this helmet is about 1600 grams.
A
scratch-resistant, transparent visor can be quickly exchanged by means of a quick
release system (two loops just below the hinge point). The helmet is also
equipped with a tinted sun visor. The sun visor is operated by means of a
sliding system on the left side of the helmet shell. It can be operated easily
even when wearing gloves. The same goes for the lever on the chin guard, after
which this can be flipped up easily. The installation of a Pinlock
is foreseen and the pinlock
lens is immediately delivered.
A length-adjustable micrometric
fastener keeps the helmet perfectly in place. The soft chin strap and an extra
'chin curtain' increase wearing comfort. A side and neck rim increase sound
insulation and reduce the risk of whiplash. The lining - easy to remove,
breathable and washable - of this helmet is laser cut and hypoallergenic. To
prevent the visor from fogging up, the helmet is equipped with a breath
deflector.
No kit of reflective stickers is included in the box. The
application of these stickers is mandatory in France.
Reflective helmet stickers can be found
here.
Some maintenance tips: The helmet interior can also be cleaned without
removing it, with S100 interior cleaner. The exterior of the helmet is best
cleaned with S100 helmet and visor cleaner. New visors have received a
water-repellent treatment. This treatment is less effective after some time.
Restore the water-repellent effect with Rain-X water-repellent spray. Safety above all!
Never ride
with a scratched or dull visor. Especially at night, scratches cause blinding
reflections from street lights and oncoming headlights. This effect is even more
pronounced in rainy weather. It is best to replace a worn visor as soon as
possible. Planning a long trip? Then don't forget to take a replacement visor
with you. Never ride in the dark with a tinted visor.
