‘Panamericana’ is the umbrella term for roads that lead from the upper North to the absolute South on the American continent. So, you can expect a lot from motorcycle pants carrying this name and even more when it’s followed by a II.
This successor to the original is still as waterproof, windproof, wear-resistant and yet so very ventilated as its predecessor. The exterior of the Panamericana II is composed of a well-considered combination of 750D Tactel® reinforced with 1000 D Cordura® in potentially risky places, and DuPont™ KEVLAR® to act as additional heatshield on the back of the calf. The AFT Cordura®, super robust mesh material, serves as a literal reinforcement.
The unzippable Sympatex®-membrane warrants water- and wind-tight, but also breathing properties. When temperatures drop, a removable thermal lining offers additional comfort. Or the other way around, of course and in that case, the Panamericana II’s AirDraft Technology, in the shape of ventilation zippers (in the front) can be converted into completely ventilated panels thanks to high-quality magnets. Summer or Winter, from Canada to Argentina, there’s nothing these pants can’t overcome.
Accordion panels above the knee and stretch fabric at the groin contribute to the wearing comfort and flexibility of these all-round motorbike pants. Anti-skid material around the seat area ensures a proper sitting position. The backside is finished a little higher than the front, also to provide decent protection where needed, in the typical motorcycle riding position. Accordion fabric just above the seat brings more comfort. There are four storage pockets.
The knee protectors can be adjusted in height and are CE-approved SAS-TEC® ones. Hip protection SAS-TEC SC-1/07 or SC-1/KA can be fitted optionally. A half-long zipper at the bottom (inside) provides the required comfort to put these pants on. You can adjust the Panamericana II as you please. There are Velcro strips at the bottom, pushbuttons on the calf and again on the back of the upper legs, Velcro strips in the waist, with elastic bands as well… The possibilities are mere endless. Once closed, they stay closed: this is guaranteed by the hook-and-button closure, complemented with a zipper and Velcro strip.
The standard supplied suspenders can be adjusted in length and can easily be removed or attached, depending on the needs of the day.
The long connecting zipper fits all Modeka motorcycle jackets, although it’s quite obvious that the eponymous Panamericana II-motorbike jacket is preferred in this case.
