GP Plus R V3 one-piece is a revealing name: GP is clear, 'Plus' refers to the extra bit, the 'R' clearly betrays the racing origin and V3 means that we are already on the 3rd version. In a one-piece suit no less.
Full option racing material, in other words. Category 2, AAA, 2016/425 for the connoisseurs and track enthusiasts. The GP Plus R V3 one-piece suit is crafted from top-quality leather, and with strategically placed accordion and stretch strips, it delivers comfort and flexibility in addition to top-level protection.
Don't get tied down to that track, though. The GP Plus R V3 one-piece you can just as easily take to the road. OK, maybe it's a bit too much to go out for a loaf of bread in this one-piece, but you can go for an extra ride afterwards. Because you can. And because it's fun. And because this leather race suit feels great.
The leather of which this second skin is mainly made, is 1.3 mm thick and guarantees durability and protection. However, a 1.3mm harness can also be rigid, so the GP Plus R V3 racing suit is equipped with a number of comfort-enhancing elements. Additional strips of stretch fabric, inserted on the arms and armpits, the torso and the back of the shoulders, increase freedom of movement, reduce fatigue and thus ensure the rider's comfort.
A non-removable mesh lining further enhances comfort and allows good ventilation. There are plenty of adjustment options on the pre-shaped sleeves - fitted with a zip and velcro - and at the waist. Perforated panels on the front and back provide extra cooling. Both the sleeve ends and the collar are made of soft 3D material. Every zipper is YKK.
Fall protection is transplanted straight from the rich Alpinestars pedigree and destined for the race track. Top quality. CE certified internal protectors at elbows, shoulders, hips and knees are standard and removable. The Alpinestars choice is called 'GP-R' and it is especially flexible, thin, light and comfortable. The hip protector is Nucleon Flex. The integrated TPU Guard on each shoulder was already there in the previous version, but it looks a bit sharper. Foam rubber is felt on the chest and back. An optional Nucleon KR-R CELL back protector (level 2 certified, snap-on system) can be integrated quickly and easily. The chest pads can also be upgraded to the Nucleon Flex Pro Ci-level. The external knee sliders are of course interchangeable, exchangeable, removable ... the intention is to use them, that's for sure.
Reflective material on the GP Plus R V3 one-piece racing suit increases visibility in the evening or at night and, above all, illustrates that you really don't have to limit yourself to the race track.
We recommend regular treatment with a water-repellent maintenance product. This treatment keeps the jacket from getting soaking wet and prevents dirt from sticking to it. For longer-term maintenance we recommend using a spray for matte leather, so that the leather remains supple.
