Once upon a time... the Xena 2 (a jacket and a pair of pants) offered sporty ladies the chance to dash around the track in style and safety. And as that became more and more common, those same ladies wanted to ride faster and faster, and REV'IT! developed two Xena 3 successors to make that possible. And in one smooth move, this Xena 3 one-piece came along.
The Xena 3 one-piece is a full-fledged, high-performance racing suit for women. You can feel it. The fit, for starters. Even when you wear the separate jacket and pants (Xena 3) together, the one-piece still feels a bit sportier. And that's how it should be. This would make little sense otherwise.
A full-fledged, high-quality race suit has everything REV'IT! has to offer in its rich arsenal. The exterior is a combination of PWR|SHELL stretch material, 3D-mesh and a pinch of neoprene. A clever combination results in a suit in which you can move freely and flexibly (it is still a race suit, of course!), can count on a lot of protection and does not make your skin boil. Oh, and the neoprene in the collar provides comfort.
What does a fast lady want more? Impact protection maybe, and that's close to the limits of what's possible. Externally, it's hard to look past the standard knee, shoulder and elbow sliders. We'd said it: this is for riding faster and faster. To feel out curbstones and go lower and lower. That you are looking phenomenally sharp in the meantime is a side issue. Good point, but not really, because we're talking about protective gear. SEESMART CE-level 1 protectors on the hips (RV30-L1-B) are standard, just like the BETAC CE-level 1 protectors under the sliders on knees, shoulders and elbows. For those who still need more: the Xena 3 one-piece is prepared to be fitted with an optional SEESOFT CE-level 2 back protector.
The flat zippers, at the front, at the wrists and at the end of the pant legs, are of good quality. On the calf, an extra zipper offers even more adjustment possibilities. The back hump is of course aerodynamically designed for superior airflow on the bike and top performance at high speeds. The perforated leather, the sliders, the design ... this is 'finished'.
The obligatory pink is visually limited to a subtle line pattern in this version. Those who wish, can also choose black and white.
