If there were a motorcycle jacket that combines the looks of a racing jacket with the functions of a touring jacket, wouldn't that be ideal? Warm, waterproof and yet extremely sporty. It exists: the Arc H2O comes very close to that ideal. Win-win, let's say.
The Arc H20 is the perfect jacket for those who love to ride and love the race look. You don't have to be fancy to see the link to the REV'IT racing suits, while still being able to count on a lot of practical functional features.
Traditionally short, with a touch more lower back to ensure a good sitting position, REV'IT doesn't like to flap around on the road. The outer shell is a blend of 600D polyester (all-round abrasion resistance) and 3L Softshell on the chest and upper back. Underneath is a Hydratex membrane that makes the jacket waterproof. For those who find it a bit cold, you can add the removable thermal lining and then you have a very wide range of uses. Of course, the most extreme conditions require the most extreme measures, but in between there is a very wide area in which the Arc H2O can be applied perfectly.
There is always enough protection anyway. The striking TPU shoulder pads are functional and at the same time reinforce the race suit look. What's underneath is perhaps more important. SEESMART CE-level 1 protection on the shoulders and elbows are a guarantee for fall protection. Who needs it can easily add a SEESOFT CE-level 2 back protector. The reflective material is subtle (during the day for sure!) but definitely present.
You can still adjust a few things yourself, thanks to the velcro strips with loop in the waist, the double press studs on the upper arms and the velcro strips on the sleeve ends. Two zipped side pockets provide a little storage space and the thermal lining has an extra inner pocket.
The Arc H2O has a short connection zipper and a double Belt Loop. The combination with a good pair of jeans seems an obvious choice.
