There are chains and then there is this chain. The ABUS 12KS120 is a 1.20 meter long chain with 12 mm thick hardened links, which is exactly what it says in the name.

This is still just a chain, however. A sturdy one indeed, but you will need a disc brake lock Detecto 8008 of of a similar quality to get the most out of it. Also, because using this with a feeble padlock would be ridiculous.

Practicality: the ring at one end is wide enough for the other end to pass through it, after the chain has been put around a tree, street light or other immovable obstacle. Then you attach it to the disc brake lock, providing a link between motorcycle and chain. That's all there is to it.
