The GIVI V56 Maxia top case is part of the fourth generation of Monokey MAXIA cases and is only suitable as a top case. The V56 is the largest and most spacious top case from that fourth generation. Often this goes hand in hand with words like "a bit bulky" and "excessive", but in this case it doesn't work that way. On the contrary. ‘Sleek' is a word that immediately applies here. Thanks to an innovative design the Maxia 4 remains remarkably light and compact, while the storage space is still impressive. The fourth generation Maxia is also characterised by internal reinforcements. In this version the case has a predominantly matte black color, with a silver central band. The built-in reflectors are red. The lid has been given an aluminium touch. Easy to open and close 90 degrees, the case comes standard with an elastic strap that prevents the contents of the case from scattering around. A shock-absorbing mat shows that this is top quality and comfort.
The Maxia 4 is quickly and easily clicked and locked onto a mounting kit designed specifically for your bike. A single key operates a locking mechanism that both closes and locks the case to the pannier plate. It is equipped with a security lock. Thanks to a folding handle, this case can also be carried beside the motorcycle without any problems. With a capacity of 56 liters, you can store a lot in this case. Two flip-up helmets, for example. At the same time, indeed. Interesting at a stopover and handy when you're often on the road with a passenger. This is literally a top case.
There are a series of optional accessories for this case:
- Inner bag: the inner bag T468C also provides increased comfort. If you want to check into a hotel, you don't have to take the entire case into the room. Simply remove the inner bag (with everything inside) from your case and you're ready...
- Backrest: your passenger will definitely prefer the soft backrest E111 to the hard case.
- Brake light: do you often ride in heavy traffic or do you like to be seen? Then an additional brake light E160 with red LEDs is available to mount on this top case.
- Extra luggage carrier: with the universal plastic S150 rack you can still put some extra luggage on top. A metal luggage carrier E159 is also available.
- Security lock: this case is already equipped with a security lock as standard. Do you have multiple cases? Replace all the locks on all the cases and lock all of them with one and the same key.
Maintenance tips: because this case contains panels made of aluminum it needs a little more maintenance than a case made entirely of plastic. For cleaning these cases we recommend S100 Moto Wash. NEVER use maintenance products that contain acids or other corrosive agents.
Watertightness: the GIVI side cases and top cases are not waterproof. They were awarded an IPX4 rating. Having the right expectations always helps prevent disappointment.
