The Booster from Gianni Falco is an ankle-high motorcycle shoe that looks like a casual sneaker. Sweet, especially since it meets the requirements of a CE-certified motorcycle shoe.
Gianni Falco combines Micro-Synth with an integrated High-Tex membrane for a water-repellent construction. This motorcycle shoe suits motorcycle riders seeking protection on the bike, paired with a casual shoe off it. No one will immediately recognise the Booster as a proper motorcycle shoe.
At RAD, we're slightly more cautious than Gianni Falco regarding waterproofing. The High-Tex membrane certainly adds a water-repellent layer. The Booster handles a light shower, but we wouldn't promise 100% dry feet. For that, this ankle-high motorcycle shoe is just a tad too low, and the shaft offers insufficient protection against water spilling over and seeping in.
The Micro-Synth upper material provides strength and wear-resistance. ABS-reinforced ankle cups ensure shock absorption and protection. Toe and heel reinforcements protect against impacts. The dual-compound rubber sole provides grip on various surfaces, combining longevity with traction.
You close the Booster with a combination of laces and a zip. Or better: the laces control the fit, while the side zip makes entry easier. In other words, you use the laces once for the initial adjustment. After that, the zip suffices for daily on and off. This makes the Booster practical for frequent riders.
Gianni Falco produces this Booster in Italy (Made in Italy), involving internal adjustments that improve quality and finishing.
The Booster is a very accessible ankle-high motorcycle shoe for motorcycle riders seeking a casual look with CE certification and water-repellent properties.
