The Interphone SYNC70 Essential is a 7‑inch multimedia display for your motorcycle. This is the big brother of the SYNC55, with a larger screen and extra functionality. The 7‑inch IPS touchscreen brings all your smartphone’s features to the handlebar via CarPlay or Android Auto, but the SYNC70E goes a step further. This display can also serve as a digital dashboard thanks to a built‑in GPS chip that shows speed, altitude and compass.
Your smartphone stays safely in your pocket or bag, while the SYNC70E screen synchronises via Bluetooth and WiFi with CarPlay or Android Auto. Navigation, music, messages, phone calls, you see everything on a large, clear screen that is specifically designed for use on a motorcycle.
The touchscreen is optimised for use with motorcycle gloves, and the SYNC70E adds a crucial feature: anti‑raindrop technology. Raindrops on the screen no longer cause ghost touches. The display can distinguish a raindrop from your finger, avoiding annoying input errors during wet rides.
That brings us to water resistance… The housing has an IP66 rating, which provides protection against splash water and dust. The SYNC70E operates in temperatures from -20°C to +70°C, covering extremely cold winter rides and hot summer days. The suspicion is that once you go beyond those extremes, the Interphone will simply be the least of your worries.
A built‑in GPS chip provides location data: speed, altitude, direction and compass. You can display this information in a digital dashboard alongside your CarPlay or Android Auto view. Good to know: this GPS chip does not take over navigation from your smartphone. It is not an alternative. Traditional GPS guidance that helps you find your way still runs via your smartphone. You always need your phone to navigate. The SYNC70E’s GPS function focuses purely on providing data for the digital dashboard.
The SYNC70E offers two power options. This creates versatility: 12 V DC directly from your motorcycle battery, or via USB Type‑C with the supplied cable. This dual option makes the device flexible to use, depending on your bike’s setup or your personal preference, such as temporary power from a power bank.
The Quiklox mounting system is included and makes installation on the handlebar straightforward. The system is practical, flexible and compatible with virtually any mounting point on the motorcycle. If this mount isn’t ideal for your motorcycle, alternative mounts are available. You click the Interphone quickly into place and release it just as easily.
Riders who want a more compact, cost‑effective alternative will find it in the SYNC55: a 5.5‑inch version without a GPS chip but with the same CarPlay and Android Auto functionality. An upgrade is of course possible in the form of a SYNC70.
When you buy it, you receive the SYNC70E unit, the Quiklox handlebar mounting kit, the main wiring loom, an adapter with cable for 12 V DC power, a USB‑A power cable, a USB‑C power cable and a user manual.
