This helmet comes standard with a clear visor. Tinted and mirrored visors are available as options.
The SCORPION EXO-1500 Air is the latest evolution in SCORPION’s touring line. This full‑face helmet builds on the EXO‑1400 series and introduces refinements mainly in aerodynamics, noise insulation and comfort.
The motorcycle helmet shell shape has been updated for better stability at higher speeds, ventilation has been optimised and the new interior manages moisture even more effectively. This remains a sharply priced, complete full‑face helmet with integrated sun visor, included Pinlock lens and a five‑year warranty.
The motorcycle helmet shell of the SCORPION EXO-1500 Air is made from fibreglass using SCORPION’s Ultra TCT technology. This composite material uses different fibres with specific properties to optimise impact absorption. Three different motorcycle helmet shell sizes cover all motorcycle helmet sizes, resulting in a compact, close‑fitting profile without unnecessary bulk. At 1,500 grams, the weight stays low, just as you would expect from a fibreglass touring helmet.
The aerodynamic lines are sharp and functional. The dual chin vents are operated with a single, relatively large slider that is easy to use with or without motorcycle gloves. The top ventilation is also easy to find and operate. Incoming air cools the helmet and exits through the rear outlet, which is integrated into an optimised spoiler that contributes to stability and noise reduction. Compared with the EXO‑1400 Evo II, the airflow has been further refined, resulting in a quieter helmet and a more stable feel on the road.
Inside the motorcycle helmet, the airflow encounters SCORPION’s AirFit system, a feature that remains a favourite. A small pump in the chin bar lets you inflate the cheek pads to taste, while a valve next to the pump allows the air to escape again. This lets you create a perfect fit, whether or not you are wearing a buff or a winter balaclava.
SCORPION uses a number of specific terms and systems. Ellip‑Tec II is the name of the visor mechanism. The supplied clear visor is easy to operate and features a central lock that opens with an almost automatic, very intuitive action. Once you close the visor far enough, it clicks ‘into place’ as if by itself. The effective seal is designed to preserve clear vision even in wet conditions. A MaxVision Pinlock lens is supplied with the motorcycle helmet.
With ‘SpeedView’, SCORPION refers to the integrated sun visor. The slider is on the left, just behind the main visor hinge. Up and down, it could hardly be simpler. The sun visor has two height settings so you can adjust the level of sun protection to your preference. The small slider just in front of the main control sets the desired height.
KwikWick 3 refers to the interior. Compared with the EXO‑1400 it has been updated and remains removable, washable and hypoallergenic. The motorcycle helmet lining manages internal moisture in a very reassuring way, even in warm conditions. When you see ‘KwikFit’, you know as a spectacle wearer that you are covered: this motorcycle helmet has cut‑outs for the arms of your glasses.
A wide, well‑sealing neck rim, the adjustable micrometric closure and the built‑in Emergency Release System for safely removing the motorcycle helmet in an emergency all show the attention to detail. A supplied breath deflector is removable, as is the chin curtain.
The SCORPION EXO-1500 Air meets the ECE 22.06 safety standard, and SCORPION provides a five‑year warranty on this motorcycle helmet.
To maintain this helmet, for the exterior we recommend S100 helmet and visor cleaner. To clean the interior, without removing it, you can use S100 helmet interior cleaner. New visors have received a water-repellent treatment. This treatment is less effective after some time. Restore the water-repellent effect with Rain-X anti-rain spray.
Safety above all! Never ride with a scratched or dull visor. Especially at night, scratches cause blinding reflections from streetlights and headlights of oncoming vehicles. This effect is even more pronounced in rainy weather. It is best to replace a scratched or dull visor as soon as possible. Planning a longer trip? Then don't forget to take a replacement visor with you. Never ride in the dark with a tinted visor.
