The GMS Adventus is a budget‑friendly adventure motorcycle helmet. A complete enduro helmet too, which you can use just as easily on or off road. Solid, good and lots of value for little money. The GMS Adventus meets the ECE 22.06 standard.
The motorcycle helmet shell is made of polycarbonate, a light and shock‑resistant material that keeps production costs low without compromising impact protection. GMS uses two outer shell sizes to accommodate the different motorcycle helmet sizes of the Adventus, meaning every motorcycle helmet remains compact and does not turn out unnecessarily large. The weight is around 1,700 grams. For an adventure motorcycle helmet that has everything you can think of as standard, that is acceptable.
The distinctive longer chin bar and extended peak are typical for adventure motorcycle helmets like this. The peak protects your eyes from flying mud and low sun during off‑road rides, while on the road you simply remove the peak or angle it slightly differently for aerodynamics.
The clear, scratch‑resistant visor of the GMS Adventus is equipped with a quick‑release system and a locking mechanism with automatic sealing. You remove it without tools, which is handy for cleaning and maintaining the motorcycle helmet. The Adventus is prepared to fit a Pinlock lens. You have to buy that separately, though. An integrated dark sun visor drops down via a slider on the side. It provides immediate protection against bright sunlight without having to stop to put on sunglasses.
Ventilation comes via openings on the chin bar and top of the motorcycle helmet. You operate them with sliders that are easy to handle even with motorcycle gloves. The airstream exits the motorcycle helmet via a rear outlet.
A breath deflector and chin curtain improve comfort. They are removable, so if you are really exerting yourself, you simply stow them away, ready to mount neatly again for the motorway ride home. You adapt the Adventus that way to the specific riding conditions of the moment.
The interior of the GMS Adventus consists of polyester cheek pads and lining. Both are antiseptic‑treated, separately removable and washable. That is practical when you use the Adventus regularly in dusty or muddy conditions.
Recesses in the lining make it possible to wear glasses without them pressing uncomfortably.
The micrometric closure with Microlock system provides an adjustable fastening that you set precisely. The Adventus is prepared for Bluetooth communication. You find space for the necessary speakers inside. The communication system itself is optional and your free choice.
Anyone seeking an adventure motorcycle helmet on a tight budget finds a solid option in the Adventus for versatile motorcycle use.
For maintenance of this helmet we recommend S100 helmet and visor cleaner for the outside. For cleaning the interior, without removing it, you can use S100 helmet interior cleaner. New visors have received a water-repellent treatment. This treatment is less effective after some time. Restore the water-repellent effect with Rain-X anti-rain spray.
In some countries (e.g., France), it is mandatory to provide your helmet with reflective stickers. The Adventus is delivered without these reflective decals. Reflective sticker sets can be found here.
Safety first! Never ride with a scratched or dull visor. Especially at night, scratches or dull visors cause blinding reflections from street lights and headlights of oncoming vehicles. This effect is even more pronounced in rainy weather. It is best to replace a scratched or dull visor as soon as possible. Planning a longer trip? Then don't forget to take a replacement visor with you. Never ride in the dark with a tinted visor.
