Adventure motorcycling demands gear that can handle anything. The GIVI 80.1 Fiber motorcycle helmet has been developed for demanding motorcycle riders who want to be prepared for every situation. This dual sport full-face helmet combines the rugged looks of an enduro helmet with the comfort and protection of premium road motorcycle helmets.
GIVI uses two different motorcycle helmet shells to cover all motorcycle helmet sizes. This ensures an optimal fit and means the motorcycle helmet isn’t unnecessarily large, which contributes to both comfort and aerodynamics. The fibreglass used (a glass fibre-reinforced material) is functional (lightweight) and cost-effective. As a result, the GIVI 80.1 Fiber weighs approximately 1,500 grams and offers an excellent price/performance ratio.
The ventilation system is specifically designed for the demanding conditions typical of this type of dual-sport motorcycle helmet. Adjustable air intakes at the top and chin area ensure a steady flow of fresh air, while air outlets at the rear purge the warm, humid air. This system is effective in city traffic and at motorway speeds alike. Even on hot summer days, it is all very comfortable.
The scratch-resistant clear visor is prepared for Pinlock Max Vision technology, and the appropriate lens is included in the box. This anti-fog solution ensures a clear view in all weather conditions; from chilly mornings to rainy afternoons. When closed, the clear visor locks automatically. A central release button is used to disengage it.
The integrated dark sun visor offers instant protection against bright sunlight, without having to stop and reach for sunglasses. The slider for this is located on the lower left side.
Practical details make all the difference in daily use. The micrometric chin strap closure allows for secure and adjustable fastening, and it’s easy to operate even with motorcycle gloves on. The removable and washable inner lining helps keep your motorcycle helmet fresh and hygienic. This is especially helpful during intense use in warm conditions or on dusty off-road terrain.
The removable cheek pads are a clever feature. They make maintenance easy, suit various riding needs, and can be taken out by emergency responders in case of an emergency. Both the breath deflector and chin curtain are removable, allowing you to tailor your motorcycle helmet to specific riding conditions.
This ECE 22.06-certified motorcycle helmet meets the latest safety standards. GIVI has deliberately chosen a design that appeals to both hardcore adventure riders and daily commuters. Whether you're tackling gravel tracks in the Alps or commuting to work, the 80.1 Fiber motorcycle helmet offers the versatility and performance required by today’s adventure riding.
The combination of sleek lines, a lightweight construction and efficient ventilation makes this motorcycle helmet an investment in comfort and protection.
The GIVI 80.1 Fiber has everything a proper adventure motorcycle helmet should offer.
No kit of reflective stickers is included in the box. The application of these stickers is mandatory in France. Reflective helmet stickers can be found here.
Some maintenance tips: The helmet interior can also be cleaned without removing it, with S100 interior cleaner. The exterior of the helmet is best cleaned with S100 helmet and visor cleaner. New visors have received a water-repellent treatment. This treatment is less effective after some time. Restore the water-repellent effect with Rain-X water-repellent spray. Safety above all!
Never ride with a scratched or dull visor. Especially at night, scratches cause blinding reflections from street lights and oncoming headlights. This effect is even more pronounced in rainy weather. It is best to replace a worn visor as soon as possible. Planning a long trip? Then don't forget to take a replacement visor with you. Never ride in the dark with a tinted visor.
