The Sparrow 2 by Held is a goatskin-leather motorcycle glove that can handle just about anything, up until the floodgates open. This is a motorcycle glove for summer for everyone who doesn’t care all that much about the ventilated versions, or if you prefer a longer and more protective summer motorcycle glove over ‘short and thin’.
The structure took some consideration, as well as the (double) goatskin panels. The most vulnerable places of the hand are double-layered, sometimes supplemented with foam or relief.
The most important places, being the topside of the fingers, the inside of the thumb, the ball and the side of the hand have now been addressed and covered. The knuckle protector is one made of foam, which matches the calm and sunny nature of this motorcycle glove.
These motorcycle gloves have been fitted with a soft lining that feels very comfortable, even after riding for several hours. You won’t have any complaints about the grip or the level of control, either, which is even more emphasised with the stretch inserts in the form of accordion strips on four of the five fingers. There’s a thin Velcro closure on the wrist, with a second, wider closure on the cuff.
The Sparrow 2 has a visor wiper on the left index finger. Even though it’s not watertight, you’ll quickly find that a few drops or a little splatter is no issue at all. As long as you’re not looking for the extremes or riding through a thunderstorm for hours on end, you don’t need to worry.
