The 'dual-comp knee protectors', in which the softer element allows for trouble-free scanning of the curbstones, are located in a kind of doubled-up form on large velcro surfaces and are of course easily exchangeable for new ones. The real artists can also put their elbow to the ground, because with the 'dual-comp elbow pads' you can do that without hesitation. These are also – with an Allen key - easily exchangeable.
Both provide enough reference points to allow you to really push the boundaries of physics. The sliders on the shoulders make sure things keep going well, even if you lose the center of gravity along the way.
Apart from the external, eye-catching protection, you can of course also rely on a lot of safety equipment underneath. SEESMART® CE-level 1 protectors on the hips are standard, as are BETAC® CE-level 1 protectors under the sliders on the knees, shoulders and elbows. All three are height-adjustable. For those who still need more: the Apex is prepared to be fitted with an optional SEESOFT® CE-back protector and can also accommodate a SEESOFT® CE-level 1 chest protector.
There's a good reason why these chest and back protectors(SEESOFT RV or SEESOFT Air) are not standard equipment: track fanatics usually have their own, separate protectors for those specific activities.
Smooth, flat zippers on the calves - two in a row for an almost perfect form - and the sleeve ends ensure that this suit fits like a glove. The collar is finished with neoprene. These are details, but not unimportant ones. Only those who feel well, ride faster.
