Attention: KLAN makes heated motorcycle clothing (here: motorcycle gloves) and lets you choose how to connect them. Cables and a battery (if any) are NEVER supplied as standard. It requires a bit of puzzling, but the result is a tailor-made composition in function of your wishes. And nothing is left unused in the box, which translates into a more competitive total price.
In the case of the Excess Pro 3.0, this is a pair of motorcycle gloves. Good, inherently warm and waterproof motorcycle gloves with a leather and polyester exterior and an all-round sporty look. Ultra-wear-resistant Hyplan for strength, insulating Thinsulate and microfleece for warmth. A Raintex membrane makes them waterproof. Add to that the TPR-slider on the palm, the 3D-preformed knuckle and finger protection and the inserts in Night Eye (reflection!) and you know you've got a sporty winner. Apart from what's next.
The KLAN Excess Pro 3.0 hides many of its strengths under the surface and is technically equipped to warm your hands. The way you do that, you choose for yourself.
Our preference is for the cable connection to the engine battery. That combination (motorcycle glove + cables) is the best guarantee for competitively priced quality.
If you want to supply the gloves with motorbike battery power via a cable, you'll need two cables: a power cable (here you can choose between a battery cable, a cable to a cigarette lighter plug or a cable to a DIN-plug like on a BMW) and a 'double connection cable'.
These heated gloves use a maximum of 3,1 Ampere.
Those who opt for separate batteries increase their freedom of movement with respect to the motorcycle, but do so at the expense of something else: autonomy and price.
The batteries can be either 7,4V or 12V Li-Po batteries. Beware, those are NOT the same as for the KLAN jackets and pants. A 12V battery performs better in cold weather, but does not last as long. The 7.4V battery gives less heat for a longer time. But, choosing is also always a bit of losing. See also the box below. The KLAN Excess has four modes. These are easily set by means of the push button on the cuff of each motor glove.
setting | Battery life 7,4V | Battery life 12V |

Level 4 (red) | 2u45 | 2u |

Warm' comes in different intensities and degrees, but the specific place where the warmth manifests itself also plays a role.
Here we are specifically talking about the upper side of the fingers and the fingertips.
It goes without saying that the heat, once present, does disperse, which - more than heating up a single spot - ensures the best effect.
Since these gloves contain electronic components, it goes without saying that they should not be machine washed. A gentle hand wash is possible though, provided you dry the connectors with a hair dryer after washing.
