CARDO Scala Rider Q1 Solo

The usage option of a motorcycle intercom determines who and how you can communicate while riding. Below are the most common usage options:

• Bike to bike: Allows you to communicate one-on-one with another rider. Ideal for short trips or if you often ride with the same partner.
• Bike to bike (group conversation): Allows multiple motorcycles to communicate simultaneously. Useful for group rides or motorcycle clubs, so everyone stays informed of directions and the route.
• With passenger: Makes it easy to communicate with your passenger. Handy for giving instructions, discussing routes, or just chatting while riding.

The Bluetooth GPS instructions option determines whether you can hear navigation prompts directly through the intercom while riding. This makes following routes safer and easier.

• Yes: You receive spoken navigation instructions from your GPS or smartphone directly into your helmet. You don’t need to constantly look at a screen, improving safety and riding comfort.
• No: The intercom does not support direct GPS instructions. Navigation must be followed using another method, such as a separate navigation screen or audio signals from a smartphone outside the helmet.

The MP3 option via Bluetooth (A2DP) determines whether you can wirelessly stream music from your smartphone or other device to the intercom. This allows you to enjoy music while riding without extra cables.

• Yes: The intercom supports wireless music streaming via Bluetooth A2DP. You can listen to your favorite songs or audiobooks on the go, directly in your helmet.
• No: The intercom cannot stream music via Bluetooth. Audio from external devices must be played using another method, such as a separate speaker or wired connection.

The MP3 option via audio cable determines whether you can play music from an external device, such as a smartphone or MP3 player, directly through the intercom via a cable connection. This provides a reliable way to listen to audio while riding.

• Yes: The intercom supports music playback via a connected audio cable. Useful if you prefer not to use Bluetooth or for devices without wireless support.
• No: The intercom cannot play music via an audio cable. You are limited to Bluetooth streaming or other playback methods outside the helmet.
• Optional: With an extra cable or accessory, music can be played via an audio cable. This allows you to add functionality when needed.

The "Use while charging" option determines whether you can continue using the intercom while the device is charging. This can be useful during long rides or intensive use.

• Yes: The intercom can be used while charging, allowing communication even when the battery is low.
• No: The intercom cannot be used while charging. You must wait until the device is fully charged before using it again.

• Yes: Direct contact with other riders is possible via the intercom. This keeps everyone connected without needing to shout or use hand signals.
• No: Direct contact via the intercom is not possible. Communication must then be done in another way, e.g., speaking or using hand signals.

The maximum communication range indicates how far you can talk with other intercom users before the signal weakens or drops. The distance is measured in open terrain, without obstacles such as buildings or trees.

• Specify number of meters: Indicates the maximum distance at which conversations are still possible. Note: in urban areas, heavy traffic, or forested regions, this distance may be shorter.

Indicates how many intercom users can talk to each other simultaneously. Useful for rides with larger groups or motorcycle clubs.

• Number of users: The maximum number of participants who can communicate at the same time. In larger groups, the connection may become slightly more complex and sound quality may vary slightly.

Indicates how long it takes for the intercom to be fully charged. This tells you when the device is ready for use again.

• Number of hours: Time required to fully charge the battery. Some models support fast charging, making the intercom ready for use more quickly.

Indicates how long you can continuously use the intercom before the battery runs out. Useful for long rides or group communication.

• Number of hours: Time you can talk before needing to recharge. Using additional features like music streaming or GPS may reduce talk time.

Indicates how many intercoms are included in the package. This tells you how many riders or passengers can use the system.

• 1: One intercom device including one audio kit for installation in one helmet.
• 2: Two intercom devices including two audio kits. Ideal for couples or friends who want to communicate immediately. Additionally, the bundle is often slightly cheaper than buying two separate devices.
