The Shoei GT-Air is a light full-face helmet made of durable fiberglass.
Besides a sporty appearance the Shoei GT-Air also has an integrated sun visor. The aerodynamic outer shell with integrated spoiler is made of five different layers of organic and multi-composite fibers. Shoei produces no less than three different outer shell sizes so that every helmet size has the lightest and most compact outer shell. The fit is therefore excellent and very comfortable. On top of that, this full-face helmet is very quiet, even at high speeds. The GT-Air is perfect for short and long rides in all circumstances. The included Max-Vision Pinlock in combination with the relatively large visor provides a clear and fog-free field of vision. Besides the transparent visor that comes standard on a GT-Air, there are also visors in other shades and colors.
The integrated sun visor is easily controlled with a slider located just below the left visor mount. The top and chin vents are very easy to adjust, even with gloves on. They are not only part of the design, but also provide excellent ventilation inside. The interior consists of a shock absorbing EPS inner shell with different densities and a removable and washable interior. In the inner shell there are cutouts for the possible mounting of intercom speakers. The cheek pads have an emergency strip, making them easy to remove from the helmet in case of emergency. The chinstrap is closed with a micrometric closure that can be adjusted very precisely. A nose cap and a chin cap are part of the standard equipment of this helmet. A set of reflective decals, which are mandatory in France, is also included.
For cleaning the outside of your helmet we can recommend S100 helmet cleaner. The helmet interior can also be cleaned, without removing it, with S100 interior cleaner. A treatment on the outside of the visor with Rain-X anti-rain spray improves visibility during rain.
Safety above all! Never ride with a scratched or dull visor. Especially at night, scratches cause blinding reflections from street lights and oncoming headlights. This effect is even more pronounced in rainy weather. It is best to replace a scratched or dull visor as soon as possible. Planning a long trip? Then don't forget to take a replacement visor with you. Never ride in the dark with a tinted visor.
