Don’t be fooled by the tight leather appearance of the Macna Rigid. These (sparsely) perforated leather motorcycle gloves are a masterpiece of summery ingenuity.
The Macna Rigid carries a lot of technology: the flexible EVA impact foam protection in the palm and the ‘ergothumb’, where both index finger and thumb are covered by one single leather panel are examples of intelligent, technically strong design solutions. They increase both safety and comfort, something that can also be said from the RISC 3D Termperfoam knuckle protector. Or the touchscreen compatible layer on the fingertips.
The incredible thing is, you don’t even notice all that. Well, not with the naked eye, or, hardly.
The Macna Rigid is – or so it seems – a smooth leather motorcycle glove. “Goatskin, what else?” would be the catchphrase of one famous actor. Goatskin is still the best warranty for excellent grip, steering feel and the wear-resistance you can expect from a motorcycle glove. The visual ease is only somewhat disturbed on the palm and the cuff – Velcro strip. Although disturbed is not really the right term for that.
The Macna Rigid is as rigid as a quiet ocean: only from the outside. Beneath the surface, other things are happening.
Speaking of oceans: this motorcycle glove is not waterproof.
