The Lady Vanda by Segura definitely stands out and not only because of its colour scheme. This tight textile motorcycle jacket with centred fit is a comfortable motorbike jacket that certainly feels at home in the modern (metropolitan) city.
The exterior is made of Serica – wear-resistant – and hard mesh, which immediately illustrates that this might not be the ideal partner to ride all the way to the North Cape in winter. Summer, lots of mesh panels, a tight ‘body fit’ cut – this is ventilated material, through and through. The Lady Vanda performs best when cruising through town on your café racer with your sunglasses on.
With five outer pockets and two more on the inside, there’s no lack of storage space. Add the strong seams, pushbuttons and the large pullers attached to the solid zippers and you know this equals a motorcycle jacket that’s actually kind of a statement: atypically coloured and with the representative Segura wink towards the previous century; ‘inconspicuous’ is not the first thing that comes to mind.
Impact protection is provided by the ALPHA protectors on shoulders and elbows. The latter are adjustable. Who wants to fit in a back protector, can. Everything is provided for a smooth fit.
It has awarded the Lady Vanda with a EN 1621-1: 2013, EN 17092 class AA-certification.
