What is a motorcycle hoodie?
The hoodie is a relatively new trend in the motorcycle world and meets the requirements of the law (a jacket, worn on a motorcycle, must be closed with a zipper), but leaves plenty of room for a looser, more casual look.
Always equipped with a (sometimes detachable) hood and certainly a lot safer than a regular jacket or sweater, so you are allowed to wear it on the motorcycle. Can you expect the same durability and protective properties of a full-blown motorcycle jacket? No, otherwise there would be no need for full-fledged motorcycle jackets.
Motorbike hoodies are suitable for shorter rides, (metropolitan) commuting, scooters or lighter motorcycles. Fashionable motorcyclists will find what they are looking for.

Since the hoodie is not waterproof or windproof, the garment is particularly suitable for summer use. Keeping a good raincoat close by is rarely a bad idea.

A motorcycle hoodie can basically be washed like other garments in your closet. If you want to be on the safe side and enjoy your purchase for a long time, it might be best to choose more specific maintenance products.
