SRA approved

The SRA certification is a French approval standard for anti-theft devices, issued by Sécurité et Réparation Automobiles (SRA). Unlike the ART system, SRA does not use star ratings or security levels: a lock is either SRA-certified or it is not. This certification is widely recognised by insurance companies in France and across Europe.

• SRA certified: the lock has undergone extensive testing against theft methods such as sawing, drilling, cutting and forced attacks. Only products that meet all SRA requirements receive official certification.
• No SRA levels: SRA does not work with stars or classes like ART. The actual level of protection depends on the type of lock, materials used and overall construction.
• SRA & insurance: many French insurers require the use of an SRA-certified lock as a condition for theft coverage, particularly for higher-value motorcycles.
