A real rocker wouldn't look out of place with this, and in the 1960s they would have known how to use it too, this Surgent. Still, this is a full-fledged leather motorcycle jacket - for today - with a few innovations on board.
REV'IT! opts for supple cowhide leather, and nothing else. No, really, nothing else. Okay, a lining, some buttons and a zipper. But other than that: cowhide. Great, because the Surgent is a motorcycle jacket for men who seek identity, who choose a certain style. Then and now.
The advantages of this leather are that it is hardwearing, it looks good to very good and it has a certain charisma. The disadvantage - well, there's a solution for everything - is that waterproofing is not a feature of leather motorcycle jackets. Something tells us that the Surgent is not the all-weather jacket that will get you from the equator to the North Cape.
This is a classic, and with its diagonal zipper it stands out a bit visually. The zipper has a function though, because you can fold back the unzipped flap to create a large ventilation opening, thanks to the perforated area underneath. Fun and useful, and also very well-finished with great attention to detail. Note the push button!
For the rest it's mainly a matter of getting what you see: two side pockets with zipper, straps with buckle to adjust the waist, and leather. Supple leather. Lots of supple leather. Stitching at the shoulders and the REV'IT! logo provide just enough relief.
The inside pocket is worth mentioning, as is the standard SEESMART® shoulder and elbow protection. They excel in soft flexibility and wearing comfort, so no hard-shell impact protectors here.
A back protector(SEESOFT® type RV or SEESOFT® Air) is optional.
The combination with a good pair of motorcycle jeans is obvious.
