Segura’s Lady Leyton fits the French motorcycle clothing manufacturer’s vision and mission perfectly: classic style, in a contemporary jacket (apologies) with modern-day features.
Serica, that’s what the exterior is called. Wear- and tear-resistant but also flexible enough to be comfortable. And firm, that too. The breathing capacities of the Lady Leyton are substantial and combined with a (fixed) waterproof membrane, plus, a removable 90-gram heavy thermal lining, you’ll get quite far in this. Whether that can be said for the entire year, depends somewhat on your taste and feeling, but the traditional riding season of the average biker should certainly fall within reach. The fixed mesh lining guides the riding wind that enters through the ventilation openings on the shoulders around the body, which means that you can easily wear the Lady Leyton in summer, as well (but without the lining).
Velour on the inside of the collar shows that Segura went for a finishing with eye for detail and quality. There are adjustment options as well. The cut of the Lady Leyton is rather long but centring straps with pushbuttons allow you to tighten everything to size. Those same pushbuttons can be found at the cuffs (including zipper) and over the entire length of the protective central cover flap. At the bottom, you can open a zipper or two, depending on your sitting position, to be able to take your seat on the bike as comfortable as possible.
This jacket is not intended for track use; however, it is CE-certified. As personal protective material, and separately, with regard to the shoulder and elbow protectors (ALPHA). The back protector is optional but everything has been provided to fit it easily.
With 5 respectable outer pockets, two inner pockets and a separate pocket for your wallet or documents, the Lady Leyton lacks no storage space.
It’s a trendy eye-catcher, this motorcycle jacket. For that city lady that loves the classic retro style. In that case, we would match it with – of course – motorcycle jeans, a set of motorcycle shoes-with-sneaker-attitude and a jet helmet.
There is maintenance clothing and then there is clothing maintenance. Good, solid motorcycle clothing is an investment in comfort and personal safety. So invest in its maintenance after your purchase and enjoy your gear for longer.
We put the best tips & tricks on this maintenance page.
