If an Italian motorcycle clothing manufacturer names a jacket after a southern Spanish - and very hot - city, you shouldn’t expect three layers of thermal padding. This is 'Air': as much breathability and ventilation as possible, in the perfect balance with just enough biker jacket.
The latter is crucial: there is only one thing more stupid than crawling on your bike with a jacket: trying it without a jacket. That’s why Dainese opted for wear-resistant material, also for the Sevilla Air Tex Dainese. Just enough to attach the perforated mesh lining to it. This also has a wear-resistant base, although you may not want a motorcycle jacket you can literally see through to have the same performance as a full leather jacket.
The focus lies elsewhere: ventilation. Almost integral. There is just enough to fit a pair of Pro-Shape 2.0 impact protectors on the elbows and shoulders. They are light and very flexible, which fits perfectly with the whole vision behind the Sevilla Air. You can always add an optional back protector G1 or G2.
Two front pockets - with zipper - provide storage space. Both on the sleeve ends, the collar and the waist are velcro strips to make sure everything fits perfectly. These individual adjustment options do not prevent you from going for 'short and tight' at the fitting. It's the first thing anyway: you can't manufacture an ultra-ventilated motorbike jacket and then let it fall down to your knees.
The Seville Air is a light, pleasant, easy summer jacket. Combining it with light motorcycle jeans seems the most logical option.
