This helmet comes standard with a clear visor. Tinted and mirrored visors are available as options.
Scorpion is aiming with the EXO-HX1 at many different motorcycle helmet wearers and many different motorcycle helmet types. Not so much because they can't choose, but rather because it is fun to have a lot of options. And to continue to have them.
The Scorpion EXO-HX1 is above all a full-face helmet. Solid, in one piece and compact. Ready. A full-face helmet can take on different shapes A full-face helmet can take different forms: a dirt bike helmet is a full-face helmet, a touring helmet can be one too and a racing helmet it certainly is. Strictly speaking, the helmets worn by pilots are also pilots wear are also integral helmets, and the Scorpion EXO-HX1 in the right decor definitely has something of that too.
Scorpion itself suggests three styles: the cross-country helmet, the sporty - traditional - helmet and the trendy pilot style for the driver of café racers or the visitor to trendy terraces. Which one you want to be on (wo)every day, you decide entirely by yourself: the Scorpion EXO-HX1 is a smooth and fast guy who adapts everywhere. A compact motorcycle helmet too, with an outer shell in Ultra TCT fiberglass. That light, strong fiberglass material puts about 1350 grams on the scales and that's very acceptable when you add up what's here. Two helmet shells contain all helmet sizes, so the compact remains a certainty.
Chin and top vents provide a constant supply of fresh air. At the back of the helmet an opening is also placed. Through this opening warm air can escape.
The EXO-HX1 comes with a bunch of extras in the box. In the first place In the first place, two visors. Or almost: in addition to a transparent anti-scratch visor, there is also There is also an integrated sun visor. Add to that the present Pinlock® lens and you know that you have all the standard options at hand. in your possession. The sun visor is also one of just up-down folding.
Also extra - and this is what makes the SCORPION EXO-HX1 - unique are the peak and the top piece to give the (toasted) chin vent a more classic appearance. You can feel us coming: with sun visor, visor and toasted chin vent, this is a cross helmet. Without visor, without peak and with attachment, it becomes a retro helmet. With the clear visor, without peak, you have a full-face helmet. That versatility (this is actually a 3-in-1 with some good will) is without doubt an added value.
Apart from these external extras, we naturally expect SCORPION to be simply an excellent helmet. The inner lining is made of Kwikwick III and is removable and washable, hypoallergenic and soft. Good to know is that the EXO-HX1 has cutouts for goggle temples. The chinstrap is adjustable and equipped with a micrometric Microlock buckle.
For the maintenance of this helmet, we recommend for the exterior S100 helmet and visor cleaner. For cleaning the interior, without removing it, you can use S100 helmet interior cleaner. New visors have received a water repellent treatment. This treatment is less effective after some time. Restore the water repellent effect with Rain-X anti-rain spray.
Safety above all! Never ride with a scratched or matted visor. Especially at night, scratches or matting cause blinding reflection from street lights and headlights of oncoming vehicles. In rainy weather this effect is even more pronounced. It is best to replace a scratched or dull visor as soon as possible. as soon as possible. Planning a longer trip? Then don't forget to bring a replacement don't forget to take a replacement visor with you. Never ride in the dark with a tinted visor.
