The lightweight and short Spectrum by REV'IT! stands out thanks to its neoprene outer layer, but also by the ease and practicality of use of this summery motorcycle glove.
It has a sporty edge to it, but feels right at home when you would rather not wear a glove. Something we do not recommend, and which is usually mandatory. Anyway: there are motorcycle gloves that seem ready for battle: hard, leathery cocoons with lots of tough protectors. The 'we'll go even faster next lap’ type of gloves. There are also gloves that make you doubt whether you are holding the handlebars or a brush handle. Nice and warm but a bit on the thick side.
And then there is this: the REV'IT! Spectrum.
The exterior is a combination of neoprene (the back) and goatskin leather (the palm) and especially the latter is a striking element. Naturally soft, but also in the meantime it has also been used in motorcycle jackets. Yet here it is mainly the invisible PWR|Shell reinforcement that ensures wear-resistance. Together with goatskin leather and a whole lot of temperfoam. The temperfoam - preformed, semi-rigid protective elements - is on the knuckles, fingers, palm and thumb. Together with the flexible knuckle protector, it's not bad, although we would like to point out that temperfoam is more "soft and nice” and not "track worthy".
Shop in, shop out. Quickly to the bakery. In town. Or just a summery, longer ride, that's fine too. The ease to using the Spectrum in the right context is pleasing. Of course you do not have to use it to ride in a flood or throughout the entire year.
The cuff reaches to the wrist and normally leaves some margin to the end of the sleeve. Closing is done by means of a velcro strip.
The conductive - not sliding - fingertips ensure that you do not have to take off the Spectrum when you want to operate a screen. Also easy.
