If there’s one motorcycle boot that defines the term 'sporty' it might be this one. The Nexus Lady - the female version of the famous Nexus - not only looks it, it has all the technical features on board.
The exterior consists mainly of microfiber (no leather) and the very high-quality D-Stone® material, although it is hard to ignore the thermoplastic-polyurethane shin guard. That last word is even a bit too limiting, because like a real exoskeleton the shiny polyurethane stretches from the ankle to the shinbone. The hinge on the ankle inspires confidence and makes walking much more comfortable than you might suspect at first glance. Since the heel is also protected by the same material, DAINESE completely creates the effect of the external protection contained in a motorcycle boot.
Visually, the Nexus Lady is a winner. An external ankle that keeps your own ankle away from the biggest risks, inevitably leads to sporty, tight and sharp. And that's okay, because with the replaceable toe slider (two hexagonal screws, the key is in the box) the Italians leave little to the imagination: you can tear up the race track with this. The certification (CE-Cat.II-EN13634) will sound familiar to professional bikers. Shin, ankle, toe ... all safe.
Getting in and out of the Nexus Lady is a pleasure: the zipper is located at the back, along the (almost) entire length of the boot. It doesn't get much easier than that. Two velcro strips (5 centimeters) left and right of the zip allow you to fit the Nexus Lady perfectly to the lower leg.
The bridge contains a long strip of accordion material, which generally adds to comfort and flexibility. It makes the Nexus Lady - especially on the bike - a top-notch shoe, and although you don't have to do a GR-tour with it, you will still get quite far without bike.
The rubber sole is more than 'normal' and both the lining and a number of external vents ensure that the Nexus Lady has a climate control system that prevents overheating. Also, with a significant proportion of nylon in the toe and heel, the Nexus Lady is not a waterproof motorcycle boot, just to be clear.
