With the Laguna Seca 3 Lady DAINESE creates - the name appears frequently in their range - a waterproof, sporty and above all very versatile motorcycle jacket of the latest generation. In all (very relative) simplicity, this is top-class.
Although the name (DAINESE Laguna Seca 3 Lady) differs only in four letters from the male version of this motorcycle jacket, DAINESE does more efforts than it seems at first glance to make the Lady a truly feminine jacket.
Laguna Seca is the track with the famous and infamous Corkscrew: the descending blind chicane. As surprising as that would feel as a rider the first time, as familiar this Laguna Seca 3 Lady feels. Coming home before the zipper is even closed. When you've been racing Valentino Rossi-style through that corner for the last 20 years, the surprise wears off over time, of course and then we start talking about things like it’s ‘simple’, although that's not necessarily true.
The exterior of the Laguna Seca 3 Lady is made of Cordura, in a renewed composition: guarantees for wear and tear could - if that was a thing - be given to this material. A very strong name as the first buffer. Underneath, the integrated D-DRY® membrane from DAINESE is a very valuable, waterproof additional asset. Although non-removable, it expands the Laguna Seca 3's versatility by months. Despite the ventilation zippers on the sleeves and back, high summer may not be ideal, but with the removable thermal lining you do not have to worry in spring and autumn.
Individual adjustment options are available in the (surprisingly) light, short and sporty motorcycle jacket, in the form of velcro at the waist and on the collar. There are also possibilities at the wrists. An inside pocket, another one in the thermal lining and two outer pockets provide sufficient storage space. It should remain sporty, so bringing half your toolbox is not really necessary.
Impact protection is there too, of course. Everything is provided to fit an optional back protector. The removable composite protectors on elbows and shoulders are standard. Individually CE-certified as they provide safety standards worthy of DAINESE.
The long connecting zipper allows for virtually any combination with DAINESE motorbike pants, although a good pair of jeans will certainly do as well. The reflective inserts ensure good visibility in less favorable conditions.
