A one-piece suit is what the name implies: a (racing) suit that combines pants and jacket in one piece. Indivisible, because that's the idea. Usually, you will not see many touring riders with this. This is rather something for gentlemen who prefer a sporty (read: fast) seat on their motorcycle.
With a name like 'Assen 2' little is left to the imagination. You should go fast in this one. DAINESE is the preferred supplier to the institution that Valentino Rossi is by now, so be aware that you may be benefiting directly from the feedback from the Doctor himself.
Tutu-grain leather makes up the bulk of this perforated race suit. Logical, because wear and tear resistant, but in the case of this perforated 'Assen 2' you can also add a whole battery of high-tech materials and highlights that play a role in comfort, freedom of movement and flexibility. The elastic inserts in the collar (and in fact everywhere in the suit), a 'floating' shoulder area with replaceable aluminum plates and the S1 bi-elastic material are the most impressive and eye-catching.
The aerodynamics are more than up to date for a suit of this caliber: the hump is one that can accommodate a camelbag. The fact that the perforated Assen 2 is anatomically preformed and should really become a second skin, is logical. Only then does the race suit really come into its own. That it all works out and still remains comfortable is all thanks to DAINESE.
DAINESE gets its impact protection straight from the MotoGP: This is the first new-generation racing suit from the Italian racing team to receive the special floating shoulder construction. The external aluminum plates on the shoulders are easily replaceable. Elbow and shoulder protection in composite material (EN 1621.1) and an identical set on the knees, they are part of the standard equipment. The hips receive a set of Pro-shape protectors and the one-piece racing suit as a whole is certified to the CE-Cat II-89/686/EEC-standard. There are no external elbow protectors, knee protectors are available of course. These are also easily interchangeable.
We don't have to explain that it can get pretty warm on and off the track. DAINESE has a lot in its expertise box to help you out. They use well-chosen perforation surfaces and the NanoFeel® removable and washable lining is also an asset.
The elasticated calves and long (flat) zippers on the lower leg ensure that stepping into the Assen 2 is no challenge. The intention is that your full potential is shown on track, so shooting up all your gunpowder when putting on the suit is a mortal sin.
