The Aron is an odd duck in the 'motorcycle' bite. Sweater, anorak, hoodie, it's got a little bit of everything but it's that versatile style that makes it interesting. We spontaneously think of urban scooter rides, although the choice is - as always - open.
The exterior is in any case non-typical when we think of motorcycle clothing. Polyester, viscose, elastane ... these materials are rarely in the first row. However, by also adding ripstop and Aramid reinforcements to the soft mix, Macna creates a good and balanced combination. Not for tearing along the highway, but just about everything below that can be done.
With RISC CE-certified protectors (level 1) on the elbows and shoulders the Aron is in no way inferior to any other motorcycle jacket. A CE-back protector is optional, but everything has been provided to make sure it fits easily.
The very spacious front pocket is typical for an anorak, where the zipper stops halfway. This means you pull the Aron over your head; the (long) zipper on the side makes things a lot easier. So, it is handy too. The key ring and pen holder(s) on the left arm add to that.
And because you wouldn't think that you're really travelling with a 'jacket': the Aron suddenly looks like a sweater again at the sleeves (nicely finished end with press button!). Especially with the removable or attachable (again: clever!) hoodie.
It's a difficult one, this duck. But not an ugly duckling, that's for sure.
