The Tropic 3.0 is in the first place a breathable summery motorcycle jacket which will give you a lot of pleasure on hot days, but ... the Tropic 3.0 can be padded with rain lining in no time, which offers perspectives.
The highlight is in the (blue) details. More specifically in the blue loops on the inside. Whoever fitted a membrane into a motorcycle jacket, knows how that goes. We restrict ourselves to the Tropic 3.0 itself, however, because this is already a very good, summery jacket. All expected features are present: a lot of mesh; meaning, a lot of riding wind. And still a solid base, consisting of 600D. Never a bad if you're looking for a durable and tear-resistant material. The combination works, making any ventilation zippers and the like superfluous.
Underneath, CE-certified Safe Tech impact protectors (EN1621-1:2012) provide an extra layer of protection. For those who feel the need, you can add an optional CE-approved back protector. Everything is provided to fit that in.
The Tropic 3.0 is a short motorcycle jacket. A perfectly logical cut - and choice - for a jacket you wear when it is too hot to actually wear a jacket. Then, you don't need extra length. You want as little as possible, with as many options as possible. Then, the Tropic 3.0 is the one for you.
The upper arms got a snap button; the sleeve ends have a zipper. In the waist there’s a velcro loop left and right for that perfect fit. Together, all these elements offer a number of individual customization possibilities. Or even better: the same comfort level, after you have added an optional liner to the Tropic 3.0.
Held is also sticking to the long connection zipper, which makes the combination with the Held Zeffiro 3.0 motorcycle pants a logical choice.
