Size recommendation: We did the test for you. Our size 44 have a hard time finding their place in these. This motorcycle footwear is smaller, tighter, a bit narrower than we are used to. It doesn't hurt to choose a bigger size, because the size chart of these shoes is tight.
The Mixto 3 by Gianni Falco has a 'heavy duty' Vibram sole, but you can extend those first two words to the whole boot without any problem. This pretty much screams 'adventure' and everything is designed with that in mind.
The Mixto 3 ADV is the successor of the - surprise - Mixto 2 and has kept all the good qualities and took them to a new and higher level.
The boot - that reaches about halfway up the calf - is water- and windproof and consists on the outside of full grain leather that received an oil treatment. Hard PU-plastic on the shin provides a clear extra protection. A leather (suede) heat shield on the inside provides additional grip to the bike without damaging it, and there is a shift reinforcement. The double row of stitching and the thick layer of rubber inspire confidence. To still be able to move flexibly and comfortably in all that robustness, the Mixto 3 has some clearly visible accordion panels at the front and back.
With an integrated High-Tex® membrane on the inside, the Mixto 3 is waterproof. The risk of water getting in from above is rather small because you slide the Mixto 3 over your foot like a (big) sock. A sturdy velcro strap at the top of the shaft and two micrometric quick releases keep everything nicely in place.
On both sides of the ankles, there is D3O® impact protection under the leather. D3O® focuses on efficient shock absorption and protection, combined with exceptional wearing comfort and maximum flexibility. Toe and heel can count on extra impact protection as well.
The inside is finished with a soft and comfortable, breathable lining. And that same lining perfectly matches the heavy duty Vibram sole that we started this description with and that gives you a lot of stability with a powerful profile.
