The helmet shell is HPTT, also called 'High Pressure Thermoplastic Technology' or polycarbonate/ABS. The injection molding process produces a one-piece helmet shell. One that includes all available helmet sizes.
At the front this helmet has a closable (double) top ventilation, which can also be operated with gloves. There is also a closable chin ventilation. The non-closable rear outlets are integrated in the discrete plastic spoiler and complete the ventilation. The total weight of this helmet is only 1250 grams.
The LS2 FF353 Rapid mini comes standard with a transparent and scratch-resistant visor. LS2 visors are made with a 3D optically correct 'A-class' polycarbonate, a polymer with a high resistance to impact, which avoids deformation and offers maximum clarity.
The visors are also scratch-resistant and offer protection against UV rays.
A length-adjustable micrometric buckle keeps the helmet perfectly in place. The soft chin strap enhances wearing comfort. The neck rim promotes sound insulation and reduces the risk of whiplash. The lining - easily removable and washable - of this helmet is comfortable and hygienic.
A kit of reflective stickers is included in the box. The application of these stickers is mandatory in France.

The helmet interior can also be cleaned without removing it, with the S100 helmet interior cleaner. The exterior of the helmet is best cleaned with S100 helmet and visor cleaner. New visors have received a water-repellent treatment. This treatment is less effective after a while. Restore the water-repellent effect with this water-repellent spray.
Safety first! Never ride with a scratched or dull visor. Especially at night, scratches cause blinding reflections of street lights and headlights of oncoming vehicles. This effect is even more pronounced in rainy weather. It is best to replace a worn visor as soon as possible. Planning a long trip? Then don't forget to take a replacement visor with you. Never ride in the dark with a tinted visor.
