A good horn is essential on a motorcycle and also compulsory, although nothing says you have to make do with the standard one.

Your choice is only limited by the voltage it requires from the electrical circuit. Most modern motorcycles use 12V, although some old-timers still have a 6V circuit.

If you're not sure, check your bike's light bulbs. Headlights, rear lights and indicators always state the voltage.
